GRAMMY-nominated artist Phil Wickham has unveiled a brand-new single, “This Is Our God,” now available on all digital streaming platforms. This release marks his first single since earning his inaugural GRAMMY nomination for “Hymn of Heaven” in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song category. Additionally, he received recognition for co-writing Chris Tomlin’s song “Holy Forever.”
Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, Wickham expressed gratitude for the closeness of God:
“I am so thankful that when I sing to Jesus Christ, I am not singing to some distant being far off, but to a God who came close, who came to save us and rescue us.”
He further elaborated on the song’s message:
“When we sing about our God, we sing about a God who loves unconditionally, who grants grace to the sinner, who saves those who call on Him, and who lifts people from the pit into His heavenly kingdom. This is our God. A God who redeems, who creates beauty from ashes, and who restores. This is our anthem. I cannot wait to sing this song with the church.”
