Tanzanian music culture is a vibrant and ever-changing terrain, with new genres emerging from metropolitan areas to reflect the pulse of modern life. Among the most energetic and socially significant of these is Singeli, a high-tempo, extremely rhythmic form that originated predominantly in Dar es Salaam.
