This track marks the sixth pre-release from her eagerly anticipated third studio album, ‘PAID IN MEMORIES,’ set to drop on March 28, 2025.

“PSILOCYBIN & DAISIES” stands out not only for Reyez’s emotive vocals and poignant songwriting but also for its creative interpolation of The Smashing Pumpkins’ iconic 1995 hit, “1979.”

This fusion bridges the gap between alternative rock and contemporary R&B, offering listeners a fresh yet familiar soundscape.

Reflecting on this artistic choice, Reyez expressed her admiration for timeless music and the opportunity to incorporate elements from such classics into her work.

The Smashing Pumpkins’ frontman, Billy Corgan, has lauded Reyez’s rendition, noting, “I’m very honored and touched that Jessie would choose to build something so new and beautiful from the bones of one of my songs. The track was crafted with the expertise of producers SCUM, known for collaborations with SZA, and Warren “Oak” Felder, who has worked with artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Lizzo. Complementing the song’s release, a live performance visual directed by Jon Primo—recognized for his work with Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj—has been unveiled, offering fans an intimate glimpse into Reyez’s artistic vision.

The forthcoming album, ‘PAID IN MEMORIES,’ not only showcases Reyez’s evolution as an artist but also features collaborations with prominent artists such as Ari Lennox, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, and Miguel. This project follows her critically acclaimed 2022 album, ‘Yessie,’ and is poised to further cement her place in the contemporary music landscape.
