Esua – We Honour You God

Esua – We Honour You God

Listen to this fantastic and thrilling worship, which has the power to move souls to ultimate praise and spiritual adoration. Esua, a music minister, composed a beautiful tune titled We Honour You God.

Why are Nigerian pastors so worried about the songs Nigerian gospel music performers perform? Some Nigerian pastors are interested in what music the Christian community listens to.

They think that Christian music should be sacrosanct, with entirely godly lyrics, no worldly phrasing or lyrics, and no collaboration with non-believers. While some of these men of God may be hypersensitive and uneducated, others understand what they are saying or recommending.

We need to be clear: music is spiritual and has the ability to impact people. In fact, music is easier to understand and retain than giving a sermon. Over the years, the gospel music scene has received criticism for some of our gospel artists’ peculiar behavior.

To prevent the younger generation from accepting this as the norm, some pastors had to speak out. Nonetheless, I can’t condemn any of these Christian musicians since I don’t know their motivations.

Historically, the church opposed Afrogospel, but it is now one of the music genres enjoyed by many young Christians. So, only God knows the true motivations of certain Christian artists, but this does not always exclude criticism.
