Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has pledged to provide a secure and conducive environment for corps members serving in the state.
Represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Tasi’u Musa Shinkafi, the governor made the commitment during the closing ceremony of the Batch C Stream One orientation course held at the temporary orientation camp in Gusau.
The governor emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication, and commitment from the corps members, encouraging them to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole. He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to prioritize the safety and welfare of corps members, stating, “My administration will provide a safe environment for the corps members to serve and thrive.”
In his remarks, the NYSC State Coordinator, Muhammad Auwal Lawal, commended the state government for its commitment to the well-being of corps members.
He urged the corps members to remain dedicated to their duties and avoid unnecessary travels or activities such as night parties that could jeopardize their safety.
